Day 6 - Aarhus, Denmark π©π°
Another port day and another day of proper walking! We arrived in Aarhus after sailing overnight from Copenhagen and headed straight out to explore.
We started with a wander along the harbour front - very different in feel from Copenhagen, more relaxed and modern. There are some great sculptures dotted about, including this brilliant bronze piece showing two men loading heavy sacks. The detail on them is amazing, right down to the textures on their clothes and the rope.

Then it was on to Den Gamle By - the Old Town open-air museum. It's brilliant! They've got historic buildings from different periods of Danish history all assembled together, with different streets set in 1864, 1927 and 1974. The half-timbered buildings and shopfronts are so pretty, and the attention to detail is fantastic - you can really tell the different eras apart.

Spotted this fun bicycle sculpture outside the Kunsthal too - Iain couldn't resist getting on it!

And of course you can't come to Denmark without noticing the traffic lights - those pedestrian signals with the figures holding hands are quite sweet!

Ended the day back at the harbour watching the sunset. The colours were absolutely incredible - all that gold and orange reflecting on the water. A perfect way to finish a really good day in Aarhus.

Tomorrow we're at sea en route to Hamburg. More steps to look forward to!
